Contract Description:
The purpose of this contract is to fund habitat projects in the Pahsimeroi.  OSC will subcontract to IDFG for activities that include the Sulphur Creek project.  OSC will also subcontract with the Lemhi Regional Land Trust will sponsor the Lower Pahsimeroi River Bank Restoration and Fencing project on the Chewning property, and OSC will subcontract for those

IDFG activities in the Pahsimeroi will include continued project identification and development, providing technical assistance to collaborators, and implementation of the Sulphur Creek Riparian Restoration project.  To accomplish these tasks we will continue coordination with landowers in the Pahsimeroi, participate in the Pahsimeroi Working Group, providing technical assistance to partners and landowners, and complete work towards project development, permitting, and implementation on Sulphur Creek. Furthermore, participation on professional training and development in the form of a habitat restoration seminar or field course will be completed.

The Lower Pahsimeroi River Bank Restoration and Fencing Project will take place on the Chewning property.  The project is located on the Pahsimeroi River (HUC #17060202), a tributary to the Salmon River. The project is located approximately 1.3 miles upstream from the confluence of the Pahsimeroi and Main Salmon River on private property. The purpose of the project is stabilize and protect Pahsimeroi River streambank for improved habitat quality through native willow planting, streambank bioengineering stabilization, and protecting existing riparian habitat with jack fence. The Lemhi Regional Land Trust in Salmon, Idaho is sponsoring the project and will subcontract out approximately 5,050 feet of 4-pole jack fence and approximately 1,715 feet of riparian plantings for bank stabilization.
