Contract Description:
This contract is a continuation of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes (SBT) SIWM program.  Under this contract the SBT-SIWM program will continue to acquire properties to mitigate for hydropower development.  In addition, under this contract SBT will maintain and restore the five mitigation properties mitigation properties over which it has management responsibility; Rudeen Ranch and Soda Springs Hills acquired in the late 1990's; Bannock Creek acquired in 2009; and Lavaside and Legacy Springs acquired in 2011. Management entails Operations and Management (O+M) to maintain and enhance acquired lands, monitoring habitat and wildlife populations to allow for adaptive management, and collaboration with other wildlife management entities to protect wildlife habitats and populations both on acquired lands and in southern Idaho as a whole.  

Goals of the SBT-SWIM Program under this contract include:

Acquisition of additional mitigation properties
Completion of a Programmatic Management Plan
Land Management Plans for Legacy Springs and Bannock Creek Properties
Completion of annual reports
Outlines for Management Plans for Lavaside, Rudeen, and Soda Hills Properties for plans to be completed in FY14
Vegetation restoration efforts at Legacy Springs and Bannock Creek properties.
Weed control on all project lands
Maintenance of infrastructure on all project lands
Management of agricultural leases at Legacy Springs and Lavaside properties
Public access management on project lands
