Contract Description:
Since 2013 Geographic Review the ESA Habitat Restoration Program has retooled it's objectives to assist as a first priority; implementing habitat restoration, and additional data collection in the Yankee Fork Salmon River.  In 2014 will be implementing on-the-ground habitat restoration projects in Yankee Fork, Lemhi River, Panther Creek, and Upper Salmon River watersheds.  This year the ESA program will collaborate work and cost-share with various agencies, non-profit organization within the Salmon Subbasin; Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA); IDTeam members: Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), ID-OSC Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Funds (PCSRF), Trout Unlimited (TU), and private land owners.  Habitat projects to be implemented in 2014 are exclosure fence on Lee Creek, and Upper Salmon on Pole Creek, as well there will be continued work on Kenney Creek from 2012, and 2013 follow-up revegetation and fence work on Lee Creek; both of the latter two are tributaries of the Lemhi River.  This year there is a carry-over project to replace a culvert with a  bridge on Pole Creek to improve fish passage and complement the project area and a suite of habitat restoration actions.  In addition to those there will be a stream restoration project on Panther Creek by removing an abandoned diversion, remove berms, and leave a straightened channel to allow Panther Creek to flow sinuously back across and through the riparian area.

CCR 33056 cancels the milestones for Work Elements F (Pole Creek Fence), H (Panther Creek Stream Restoration), and K (North Fork Habitat Improvement).  Corresponding line-item budgets have been moved to the fund the  increased cost for completion of WE G (Pole Creek Bridge).
