Contract Summary

The objective of this contract is to complete project-level habitat monitoring and evaluation activities in support of, and in collaboration with, a Programmatic Approach for Action effectiveness Monitoring (AEM) developed by the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the Bonneville Power Administration. Specifically, a multiple before-after control-impact (MBACI) experimental design will be utilized to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of six habitat restoration actions proposed for implementation in North-Central Idaho.  Collaboration and support will also be provided to Cramer Fish Sciences and the Natural Systems Design consulting firms to analyze and interpret the data, as well as for the completion of the associated reports for the Programmatic AEM MBACI activities.

FY 2016 Implementation Summary

The habitat restoration actions currently identified for 2016 monitoring and evaluation under this contract include:


• Newsome Creek Watershed - Newsome Creek Reach 2 floodplain restoration project
• Crooked River Watershed - Crooked River Meanders levee setback and channel reconstruction project
• Wallowa River Watershed - Tamkaliks Side Channel construction project
• Lostine River Watershed - Sheep Ridge Diversion partial barrier project
• Lostine River Watershed - Tully Hill Diversion partial barrier project
• East Fork of South Fork Salmon River - Cox Creek Culvert partial barrier project
