Contract Description:
The Willamette Basin Operations and Administration contract will provide the necessary support to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs (CTWSRO) to fund a coordinator position to coordinate tribal projects with the many forums of the Willamette Basin including but not limited to the Willamette Wildlife Mitigation Program (WWMP), Willamette BiOp, Pacific lamprey coordination and other Willamette Basin conservation/restoration projects and programs.  The Coordinator will be in charge of technical and policy responsibilities for the Willamette Basin.  The Coordinator will work with other CTWSRO staff to provide policy and technical recommendations to Tribal Council and the Branch of Natural Resources as necessary.  Funds from this contract will partially support a contractor and funding for other CTWSRO staff to travel to the Willamette Basin and assist the coordinator as needed.  

The WWMP is the primary focus for this coordinator position.  The WWMP includes:

One federal agency: Bonneville Power Administration (BPA)
One state agency: Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW)
Tribal governments:  The COnfederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians in Oregon, and CTWSRO

Technical assistance is provided to ODFW, BPA, and project sponsors. The coordinator will represent CTWSRO on the technical review team, the WWMP monitoring team, Habitat Technical Team, other related committees assist with necessary changes to WWMP criteria, development of management plans, partnership with Willamette basin entities on WWMP projects, and manage CTWSRO properties.
