Contract Description:
The Willamette Basin Operations and Administration contract will provide the necessary support to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs (CTWSRO) to coordinate with and participate in the Willamette Wildlife Mitigation Program (WWMP).  The Contract will also provide CTWSRO presence with the many forums, NGOs, and partnerships of the Willamette Basin.  The program will work with other CTWSRO staff to provide policy and technical recommendations to Tribal Council and the Branch of Natural Resources as necessary.  Funds from this contract will partially support the Conservation Lands Program Supervisor, and the Wildlife Wildlife Biologist, and include vehicle, office rental and support in Oregon City, and travel support to the Willamette Basin.

While the initial purpose of this contract was to provide capacity needed to identify eligible properties for acquisition in the Willamette valley and develop competitive proposals for funding through the WWMP; management plan finalization and approval for the three properties already acquired through WWMP, basin coordination, and future funding development are the focus for this year's contract.

Technical assistance is provided to ODFW, BPA, and project sponsors. Assigned staff will represent CTWSRO on the technical review team, the WWMP monitoring team, Habitat Technical Team, other related committees assist with necessary changes to WWMP criteria, development of management plans, partnership with Willamette basin entities on WWMP projects, and manage CTWSRO properties.
