Project Number:
2009-006-00
Title:
Program Coordination & Administration
Summary:
The Columbia Basin Fish Accords (MOA) represents a major new salmon recovery and mitigation initiative in the basin to which all on-going fish management processes will link in some manner.
These links, for the most part, are weak or nonexistent. The Accords also create significant new commitments to collaborative activities among the Parties, with commensurate increases in staff workloads. The majority of Yakama Nation FRMP efforts in the next 10 years will focus on the implementation of Accord actions in habitat, hatchery, and hydro operations within the Yakama Nation Ceded Area. The Administration/Coordination project is intended to support the reassignment and acquisition of staff resources necessary to address these new MOA commitments.
