USACE Cost Share for Section 408 Review and Section 536 Estuary Habitat Projects

Summary:

Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is working with Columbia River Estuary Study Taskforce (CREST) to implement estuary habitat projects to meet requirements under the 2010 FCRPS Biological Opinion. CREST is wanting to implement Otter Point Projects and a review by the US Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is required before the Corps dike on the Otter Point project can be modified. BPA has agreed to provide funding to the Corp's Portland District to review the Section 408 application prepared by CREST for Otter Point.

The Project Manager (PM) and Technical Lead will work with CREST on the initial application, answer questions, provide guidance to help ensure that the final 408 package is complete. The PM will coordinate with the Corps technical team (Design branch, levee section, Hydrology Branch, Civil and Environmental Design, Technical Resources, Environmental Resources, Real Estate and Office of Counsel) to review relevant sections of the 408 application by providing the Agency Technical Review (ATR).
