Contract Description:

This contract is a supply purchase only, and the actual fish tagging will be done by U.S. Geological Survey contractors under Project 1999-003-01. These acoustic tags will be implanted in adult chum salmon to determine the effects of elevated flows, such as those experienced during reverse load following, on spawning behavior. Acoustic tags are needed to track changes in the two-dimensional locations of fish as flows increase.
