Contract Description:
The sponsors, PSMFC, ODFW, WDFW, IDFG propose to construct and operate California sea lion trapping equipment to mark, (i.e., this includes the construction of two traps, one transport barge, two transfer cages, a squeeze cage, a platform scale, twenty satellite tags, 25 acoustic tags, 13 hydrophones, anchor systems, and misc. equipment) monitor, haze, and facilitate the removal of California sea lions preying on fishes at Bonneville Dam.  Work elements associated with the request address the construction of equipment necessary to capture and mark sea lions caught in the traps, and to track and haze predatory sea lions below Bonneville Dam.
