Contract Description:
The goal of the Kalispel Fish Hatchery is to increase the amount of harvestable largemouth bass from the current level of 6 pounds/acre to a final target of 12 pounds/acre. Yearly production target levels for hatchery staff are 90,000 fry and 10,000 (50 mm.) fingerlings. The purpose for yearly plants in the pend oreille reservoir is to create a subsistence fishery for tribal members and community members.
