Contract Description:
Goal:  To complete contracting on all new CRITFC projects described in the Columbia Basin Accords.

The Columbia Basin Accords provide a unique opportunity to implement a variety of new projects designed to improve fisheries resources in the Columbia River Basin.  This project provides support to insure that the projects are planned strategically, scoped adequately, and well coordinated.

The Accords include 23 new CRITFC projects.  Similar projects will be grouped into categories; approximately 5 categories will be described.  A science team will develop goals, objectives, and testable hypothesizes for each category.  Further the science team will provide guidance on integration of individual projects into each category to insure that each project is complimentary and not redundant.

The scope of each project will be developed and will include drafting PISCES documents (line item budgets, WE budgets, and statements of work).  In partnership with Bonneville, a pathway to achieve science review will be developed and completed by each project.

Coordination of people, projects, tribes, and agencies is very necessary for this effort.  As such, salaries and travel funds are included in this project.

Recruitment and hiring for new positions is required for project development and implementation of the Accords.  Salaries for these new positions are included in this budget.  As contracts for specific projects are let, these new hires will be transitioned to those specific contracts.  Personal services contracts are anticipated in this contract to assist with project development and planning.
