Contract Description:
Acquire, protect, enhance, and evaluate wildlife habitat and species for partial mitigation for hydropower losses resulting from Grand Coulee and Chief Joseph Dams.  This short-term management contract was designed to prepare the acquisitions for inclusion into the ongoing CCT Mitigation Program.

Target Species:  Lands provide habitat for Sharp-tailed, blue, and Sage grouse, Mule deer, White-tailed deer, bobcat, mourning dove, Lewis and downy woodpecker, mink, bats, and waterfowl.

Project Location:  This acquisition includes the area on the CCT Reservation known as the former Philip Joy and Bud Malloy Property (Tumwater Basin and surrounding area).

EXTENSION PERIOD will concentrate on additional potential acquisitions for FY10 including but not limited to the properties known as Moomaw, Jacobson 3, and Wells
