The Salmon River Habitat Enhancement Project will continue to monitor and evaluate systems within the Salmon Subbasin where human and environmental impacts have impaired mainstem passage, harvest rates, predation, impacts from hatchery fish, blocked habitat, spawning and rearing systems.  Monitoring will include thermal regimes, spatial feeding (invertebrates insects), rearing and spawning capacity and utilization, abundance and distribution of anadromous fish.  The project will continue to work with cooperating agencies utilizing database, sharing information, monitoring activities on public and private lands, and coordinating future project implementation for both SBT- ESA Habitat and S.R.H.E.  The project will provide public information to the Shoshone Bannock Tribes of activities conducted by the SBT- Fish & Wildlife projects and work with neighboring schools such as the SBT- High School and Universities to help educate the youth and provide awareness of hunting and fishing rights.
