Contract Description:
Annually, gravel, rocks and trees are placed in Agency Creek with a backhoe to create a berm to transport Lemhi water in the L-32 ditch across Agency Creek to the Muleshoe Ranch. A siphon would be installed to curtail the interception of Agency Creek water by the L-32 ditch. The siphon would help restore available stream flow and fish passage through this area while delivering the appropriated water to the irrigator. The project will also eliminate the annual reconstruction of this berm in Agency Creek thereby lessening sediment, eliminating the risk of injury to fish, and preventing entrainment of fish in the irrigation ditch.

An inverted siphon will be installed to separate L-32 irrigation ditch flow from Agency Creek.  Work will include installation of horizontal and vertical corrugated metal pipe.  Agency Creek and the L-32 irrigation ditch flow will be routed around the construction site, including cofferdams and/or pumping or otherwise approved methods.

This project consists of:

• Installation of an inverted siphon, including furnishing and installing horizontal and vertical corrugated metal pipe
• Routing the flow of Agency Creek and L-32 irrigation ditch around the construction site, including cofferdams and/or pumping or otherwise approved methods
• Earthwork including excavation, backfill, compacting backfill, and channel reshaping; furnishing and placing rip rap to protect structure and create upwelling basin; construction of a concrete siphon inlet,
• Furnishing and installing louvered metal trashrack and miscellaneous metal work on structure
• Surfacing dirt access road with gravel
• seeding and rehabilitation of areas disturbed by construction activities
