Fiscal Year 2015 contract tasks include:

-Estimate run year 2015 adult spring Chinook and hatchery winter steelhead returns.
-Develop spring Chinook harvest recommendation.
-Monitor and estimate run 2015 tribal harvest at Punchbowl falls.
- Determine BY 13  hatchery smolt out migration timing.
-Document run year 2015 spring Chinook spawning locations, timing and success.
-Conduct juvenile Chinook salmon distribution surveys to document recolonization of the basin.
-Estimate spring Chinook salmon parr densities in the West Fork.
-Measure river flows and  water temperature monitoring throughout the Hood River basin.
--Reconstruct run year 2014 based upon harvest and escapement data.
-Estimate the capture efficiency of the adult fish trap Moving Falls Fish Facility (MFFF) for spring Chinook salmon.
-Assisting Parkdale Fish Hatchery staff with various fish culture activities including implementing natural feeding program.
-Install, maintain and operate PIT receivers in the basin.
-Determine run type of wild  steelhead and origin of stray hatchery steelhead captured at MFFF trap,
-Report Fiscal and calendar year 2014 findings to BPA.

During FY 15 NOAA will develop a separate contract with BPA using funds from this project to publish results of 2008-2012 comparative hatchery evaluations and winter steelhead residualism research:
Tasks include:
1. Publish winter steelhead paper #1: Forecasting life history variation in winter run steelhead from the Hood River, Oregon.
2.Publish spring Chinook paper #3: Efficacy of smolt quality measures for predicting SAR of spring Chinook salmon from the Hood River, Oregon.
3. Provide assistance to HRPP with BY 13 and BY 14 spring Chinook precocity estimates.
