Contract Description:
This contract seeks to finish development of a Mitigation Plan, while continuing to plan and implement restoration activities.  In FY2016 the contract name was changed to “Kootenai River Ops Mitigation and Evaluation (KROME)” from the previous: “Kootenai River Operational Loss Assessment”. The original name was the “Kootenai River Floodplain Ecosystem Operational Loss Assessment, Protection, Mitigation and Rehabilitation Project”. The name changes reflect the project’s evolution over time from a planning contract to one with on-the-ground mitigation implementation. Restoration planning and implementation activities conducted by KTOI are divided between three projects: 2002-011-00, 2002-008-00, and 1992-061-00.
