This contract is to facilitate data collection and development of fish and habitat metrics for refinement of the Wallowa Atlas habitat restoration strategy and satisfactory completion of the Lolo Atlas habitat restoration strategy. Snorkel, electrofishing, and aquatic habitat surveys are to be conducted upon a targeted number of 18 sites probabilistically-located throughout reaches of the Wallowa River and Bear Creek, tributary to the Wallowa River, as well as a targeted number of 12 sites probabilistically-located within reaches of the Lolo Creek Watershed identified by Lolo Atlas data-gap workgroup staff. Should surveys of Wallowa River and Lolo Creek drainage sites be completed prior to end of 2024 summer baseflow conditions, habitat surveys would also conducted upon treatment and control sites established for the Nez Perce Tribe’s "Zim’s" Little Salmon River restoration project to generate post-implementation habitat data and metrics.
