Contract Description:
This contract is supplemental funding to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game's on-going BPA contracts, 1994-015-00 and 2007-399-00 that fund the operation and maintenance of the IDFG Anadromous Fish Screen Program located in Salmon, Idaho.  This contract will provide funding to address prioritized non-recurring maintenance actions and make purchases that will allow IDFG to better maintain their 281 fish screen inventory for which BPA is responsible using Reserves Distribution Clause (RDC) funds. Additional funds will be added to this agreement, pending the results of the fish screening facilities condition assessment. This is scheduled for the summer of 2025.

This first installment of funds will allow IDFG to prioritize immediate maintenance needs of aging infrastructure and materials and supplies that will most directly improve fish protection and survival of listed salmonids . This includes funding for the replacement of the fish screen, diversion, fish ladder, and headgate at the Lemhi River-06 (L-06) diversion, the replacement of the Salmon River-39A (S-39A) fish screen site, as well as fish screen fabrication materials and supplies that will help maintain and operate the IDFG Fish Screen Program for years to come.

The second installment of funds will address equipment and screen shop facility needs.  Funds and specific equipment and facility needs will be added to this Statement of Work upon completion of an independent condition assessment.  The assessment is scheduled for late August 2025.    The needs may include, but are not limited to, enclosing approximately 1,800 square foot open bay to be used as a sand blasting and painting room, replacing doors, windows, and carpeting in office/shop, plumbing repairs in the office/shop, piping a ditch that runs through the compound to increase storage space, paving the parking lot, adding approximately 2,000 square feet of enclosed dry storage, enclosing and upgrading the shop mezzanine, purchasing a replacement 10 yard dump truck, replacing a hydraulic iron worker machine, pinch roller, band saws, drill presses, profile roller, shop compressor, metal sanders, and snow plow attachment for a 1-ton pickup, etc.  New equipment may include an auto crane for servicing vehicles and a sandblasting compressor, etc.  The funds approved for the facility and equipment needs are approximately $2.2 million.
