Contract Description:
The project will result in the restoration of 10 acres of floodplain forest along the Willamette River at Snag Boat Bend, a unit of William Finley Wildlife Refuge south of Peoria. A diverse mix of native trees, shrubs, and grasses will be planted in areas currently dominated by non-native vegetation. The work will build on five previous phases of reforestation and floodplain and side channel habitat enhancement and reconnection work that has been completed to date.
