Contract Description:
The Grande Ronde Model Watershed (GRMW) is contracting services with NVG in cooperation with the Nez Perce Tribe to collect topo-bathymetric LIDAR and color ortho-imagery on two stretches of river/creek in the Grande Ronde basin. These services will include mobilization to and from the area, a flight to capture the LIDAR data, surface elevation checkpoints, and processing the data, including large wood classification.

The area of interest includes 15 miles of stream length on Chesnimnus Creek in the Joseph Creek watershed from just down stream of the confluence with Crow Creek to the confluence with Devils Gulch and 1.5 miles of the Wallowa River north of Lostine, OR.

The topo-bathymetric LIDAR will be used for restoration planning and project evaluation for multiple partners across the two sites. The GRMW will host the data and make it available to partners and contractors to assist in stream restoration efforts.

The schedule for contracting services will be in July and August 2024 when hydrology is ideal at both sites to collect the LIDAR data.
