Contract Summary

The objective of this contract is to complete project-level habitat monitoring and evaluation activities in support of, and in collaboration with, a Programmatic Approach for Action Effectiveness Monitoring (AEM) developed by the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the Bonneville Power Administration. Specifically, a multiple before-after control-impact (MBACI) experimental design will be utilized to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of a partial passage barrier project implemented in Northeast Oregon. Collaboration and support will be presented to AEM coordinators at Cramer Fish Sciences to analyze and interpret the data, as well as for the completion of associated reports for the Programmatic AEM MBACI activities. As new protocols for AEM monitoring of floodplain projects are to be developed by Cramer Fish Sciences through the 2019 field season, additional habitat monitoring not currently associated with the AEM program will be conducted under this year’s contract.

• Lower Grande Ronde Subbasin - Buford Creek Culvert partial barrier project
• Red River Watershed - Red River Conservation Easement priority projects
• Lolo Creek Watershed - Lolo Creek Watershed restoration project
