Contract Description:
The Yakama Reservation Watersheds Project implements steelhead restoration, population monitoring, habitat monitoring and management in the lower tributaries of the Yakima River on the eastern portion of the Yakama Reservation.

Under the contract beginning on April 30, 2022, we will complete the following actions to restore steelhead:

    - Install a bridge and restore a 1/2-mile section of stream to make a spawning and rearing reaches more accessible to steelhead.
    - Monitor and assist in the implementation of minimum instream flows.
    - install BDA's on headwater meadows in Satus and Toppenish.
    - Design a bridge installation on Toppenish Creek
    - Monitor steelhead populations on Satus and Ahtanum Creeks.
    - Monitor water temperature in Satus, Ahtanum, and Toppenish Creeks.
