Contract Description:
This contract is a continuation of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes (SBT) SIWM program.  Work under the FY15 contract will build on the work completed in FY14.    

Highlights from the FY 14 SBT SIWM contract include:  

1.  Updated the programmatic management plan document and had additional public comment period
2.  Completed area management plans and conducted public comment
3.  Catch up on annual reports
4.  Investigate potential land acquisitions and contract for 5 yellow book appraisals
5.  Continued restoration efforts at Legacy Springs Mitigation area
6.  Continued restoration efforts at Bannock Creek Mitigation area
7.  Continue Operations and Management on program lands

Highlights of work to be completed under the FY15 contract include:

1.  Develop vegetation monitoring plan and program based on outline and vegetation metrics included in programmatic plan and area management plans
2.  Work with BPA to review appraisals completed in FY13, complete baseline reports, and purchase properties.  
3.  Investigate potential land acquisitions
4.  Continue habitat restoration efforts at the Legacy Springs Mitigation area.  Plant approximately 40 acres of wildlife friendly vegetation, burn and treat approximately 40 acres of land in preparation to plant wildlife friendly vegetation in FY15, Remove approximately 55 acres of russian olive.  
5.  Continue habitat restoration efforts at the Bannock Creek.  Plant 30 acres previously planted to alfalfa to wildlife friendly vegetation.  Continue weed control efforts.  
6.  Continue operations and management on program lands.
