Contract Description:
This contract is a continuation of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes (SBT) SIWM program.  Work under the FY16 contract will build on the work completed in FY15.    

Highlights from the FY 15 SBT SIWM contract include:  

1.  Finalized management plan
3.  Moved forward on land acquisition on 5 properties.  Morgan's bridge property fell through.  
5.  Continued restoration efforts at Legacy Springs Mitigation area
      a.  Significant work in Russian olive removal using Tribal field crew
      b.  Successful grassland planting test
6.  Continued restoration efforts at Bannock Creek Mitigation area
7.  Continue Operations and Management on program lands

Highlights of work to be completed under the FY16 contract include:  
2.  Work with BPA to review appraisals completed in FY13, complete baseline reports, and purchase 4 additional mitigation properties
3.  Investigate potential land acquisitions
4.  Continue habitat restoration efforts at the Legacy Springs Mitigation area.  
     a.  Complete Russian olive removal
     b.  plant grassland vegetation to control weeds and improve habitat based on test planting results
     c.  Weed control
     d.  Plan for future shrub and riparian vegetation restoration project
5.  Continue habitat restoration efforts at Bannock Creek
     a.  Russian olive removal
     b.  plant grassland vegetation to restore old ag field
     c.  weed control
     d.  Develop beaver dam analogs to improve water holding capacity and restore riparian habitat
6.  Continue operations and management on program lands.
