Contract Description:
This contract provides fish marking support services by the US Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) to the Comparative Survival Rate Study (CSS), a multi-year program sponsored by the Columbia River fishery agencies and tribes to measure the smolt-to-adult survival rates of hatchery spring and summer Chinook at major production hatcheries in the Snake River basin and at selected hatcheries in the lower Columbia River.  The budget cost estimate provides for associated personnel, travel and miscellaneous supplies to perform tagging of juvenile fish at the hatcheries, as per the attached budget.  PIT tags will be provided to the USFWS by the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission through a separate Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) contract.

During the 2007 Contract, the USFWS will assist in analysis for, writing and reviewing of the CSS 10 year summary report.  See description under the work element N.
