Funds awarded to the CTWSRO will be used to begin Step I upgrades to the Parkdale  Fish  Facility (PFF) and begin Step II final design for new fish weirs and an acclimation facility at Moving Falls.  These PFF upgrades and Step II designs have been identified in the Revised HRPP Master Plan.

Tasks to be completed in this contract period include:

1. Final engineering designs to upgrade PFF to begin full term rearing of 30,000 full term spring Chinook salmon smolts. This includes installing two new wells to provide water to PFF, hatch house upgrades and a water heating system incubation and juvenile rearing.
2. Install well pumps and water heating system for Canadian troughs.
3. Develop a RFP a to procure a general contractor to construct well house, pipeline and hatch house upgrades.
4. Develop, advertise a RFP and select a contractor  for Step II final design of Moving Fallls fish weir and temporary acclimation facility and East Fork weir.

















The intent of this contract is to provide the Warm Springs Tribes sufficient funds to complete two major tasks to begin implementing program revisions identified in the Revised HRPP Master Plan and funded (capital portion) in the April 4, 2008 MOA in a timely manner.    

Task 1: Engineer and install wells and necessary infrastructure including hatch house upgrades at Parkdale Fish Facility so the new well water source can be used to raise BY 08 spring Chinook salmon smolts (WE's D, E & F).

Task 2: Complete necessary verification of conceptual plans for PFF upgrades, East and West Fork weirs and Moving falls acclimation facility. This information will be used to develop an implementation plan that will serve as a road map for achieving program expansion through 2014. This will enable well thought out and smooth transition in preliminary / final design through construction. Plan development and review will be overseen by CTWSRO and ODFW.

This work will be administered by the CTWSR Department of Natural Resources.
