The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon (CTWSRO) will operate a full term spring Chinook salmon rearing and steelhead spawning / acclimation facility near Parkdale, Oregon. The Parkdale Fish Facility will be used to implement the hatchery production for the Hood River Production Program (HRPP).  This will include the adult holding and spawning of winter steelhead and propagation/ release of spring Chinook salmon.  The hatchery manager will oversee all phases of the Parkdale Fish Facility, including operation and maintenance, personnel, and coordination with tribal and non-tribal staff associated with the HRPP. 50,000 winter steelhead will be acclimated and released into the Middle and East Forks Hood River.   150,000 spring Chinook salmon smolts will be acclimated and released into  West and Middle Forks Hood River.   Carson NFH will be contracted to raise  up to 50,000 spring Chinook eggs delivered from PFF for 2011 release and return 45,000 smolts from the 2008 brood.  Necessary equipment will be procured and installed to operate a temporary spring Chinook acclimation facility from March through May in the West Fork Hood River at Moving Falls.
