The Salmon River Habitat Enhancement Project will continue to implement habitat restoration projects within the Salmon Subbasin where human and environmental impacts have impaired mainstem passage, harvest rates, predation, impacts from hatchery fish, blocked habitat, spawning and rearing systems.  Some monitoring will include thermal regimes, and distribution of anadromous fish (redd counts).  The project will continue to work with cooperating agencies utilizing database, sharing information, monitoring activities on public and private lands, and coordinating future habitat projects implemented by both SBT- ESA Habitat and S.R.H.E.  The project will provide public information to the Shoshone Bannock Tribes of activities conducted by the SBT- Fish & Wildlife projects and work with neighboring schools such as the SBT- High School and Universities to help educate the youth and provide awareness of hunting and fishing rights.
