Contract Description:
The USFS Mt. Hood National Forest (USFS) continues its partnership with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Branch of Natural Resources (CTWS) to restore degraded anadromous salmonid habitat in the Hood River watershed. Funds from  this project will be used to place up to 600-650 logs will be placed in the West Fork Hood River near Marco Creek (Rm 10.1-11.1) during the summer, 2012. Contract funds will be used by the USFS to:

1. Sub-contract a BV-107 Vertol (or similar) helicopter to transport the logs from the landings and place them in flood plain adjacent to the stream channel.
2. Transport the logs from various collection sites to the landing.

The USFS and CTWS will cooperatively design, implement and monitor this project.
