Contract Description:
This contract is directed toward implementing preliminary work leading to addressing the elements and recommendations within the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC) Tribal Pacific Lamprey Restoration Plan for the Columbia River Basin (CRITFC 2008).  Among other things, recommendations include evaluating and fixing passage barriers such as those found in mainstem and tributary dam fishways and passage structures, and tributary water diversions.  Developing tools to assess juvenile and adult lamprey passage, habitat, and life history.  Obtaining a better understanding of lamprey genetics and population substructure as well as an evaluation of appropriate populations for use in artificial propagation.
