Contract Summary

The objective of this contract is to complete project-level habitat monitoring and evaluation activities in support of, and in collaboration with, a Programmatic Approach for Action effectiveness Monitoring (AEM) developed by the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the Bonneville Power Administration. Specifically, a multiple before-after control-impact (MBACI) experimental design will be utilized to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of eleven habitat restoration actions proposed for implementation in North-Central Idaho.  Collaboration and support will also be provided to the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the Tetra Tech consulting firm to analyze and interpret the data, as well as for the completion of the associated reports for the Programmatic AEM MBACI activities.

FY 2015 Implementation Summary

The habitat restoration actions currently identified for 2015 monitoring and evaluation under this contract include:

• Lapwai Creek Watershed - Culdesac Canyon levee setback project
• Newsome Creek Watershed - Newsome Creek Reach 2 floodplain restoration project
• Red River Watershed - Conservation Easement (Meadow) channel reconstruction project
• East Fork of South Fork Salmon River - Cox Creek Culvert partial barrier project
• Lostine River Watershed - Sheep Ridge Diversion partial barrier project
• Crooked River Watershed - Crooked River Meanders bank stabilization project
• Crooked River Watershed - Crooked River Meanders levee setback project
• Crooked River Watershed - Crooked River Meanders channel reconstruction project
