Contract Description:
This contract period's work will consist of installing a trail bridge (replacing a stream ford) on the mainstem of Newsome Creek and as well as replacing an undersized fish barrier culvert on Little Moose Creek (a tributary to Red River).  Riparian planting (Red River Meadows) will occur as well as potential project maintenance on Red River Meadows and Newsome Creek Stream Reach 2 projects (completed in 2016 & 2018 respectively).  Work will continue in pursuing/acquiring the Red River Corrals Conservation Easement. We have also had interest from several other landowners within Red River to look at their meadow parcels for potential restoration activities. We will be working towards partnerships with those landowners as their meadow parcels are key components to restoring river processes both within the Red River Watershed and South Fork Clearwater River subbasin.
