Contract Description:
The Willamette Basin Operations and Administration contract will provide the necessary support to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs to fund a Coordinator position to coordinate tribal projects with the many forums of the Willamette Basin including but not limited to the WIllamette Wildlife Mitigation Program (WWMP), Willamette BiOp, Pacific lamprey coordination and other Willamette Basin conservation/restoration projects.  The Coordinator will be in charge of technical and policy responsibilities for the Willamette Basin.  The Coordinator will work with other CTWS staff to provide policy and technical recommendations to Tribal Council and the Branch of Natural Resources as necessary.  Funds from this contract will partially support a contractor and funding for other CTWS staff to travel to the Willamette Basin and assist the coordinator as needed.  

The WWMP is the primary focus for this coordinator position.  The WWMP includes:

One federal agency:  BPA
One state agency: ODFW
Tribal governments:  Grand Ronde, Siletz and Warm Springs

The WWMP contract will provide the necessary support to the Tribes to fund a coordinator position to coordinate Tribal mitigation projects within the Willamette Basin. Technical assistance is provided to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Bonneville Power Administration and project sponsors. The coordinator will represent CTWS on the technical review team, the WWMP monitoring team, Habitat Technical Team, other related committees assist with necessary changes to WWMP criteria, development of management plans, partnership with Willamette basin entities on WWMP projects and manage CTWS properties.
