The Willamette Basin Operations and Administration contract will provide the necessary support to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs (CTWSRO) to coordinate with the many forums and partnerships of the Willamette Basin including but not limited to the Willamette Wildlife Mitigation Program (WWMP), Willamette BiOp, and other Willamette Basin conservation/restoration projects and programs.  The program will work with other CTWSRO staff to provide policy and technical recommendations to Tribal Council and the Branch of Natural Resources as necessary.  Funds from this contract will partially support the Lands Department Manager, and wildlife biologist, and include vehicle and travel support to the Willamette Basin.

While the initial purpose of this contract was to provide capacity needed to identify eligible properties in the Willamette valley and develop competitive proposals for funding through the WWMP, due to recent staff changes and overdue deliverables, Management plan writing and approval are the primary focus for this year's contract.  The WWMP includes: Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians in Oregon, and CTWSRO

Technical assistance is provided to ODFW, BPA, and project sponsors. Assigned staff will represent CTWSRO on the technical review team, the WWMP monitoring team, Habitat Technical Team, other related committees assist with necessary changes to WWMP criteria, development of management plans, partnership with Willamette basin entities on WWMP projects, and manage CTWSRO properties.
