The primary goal for the FY2026 contract cycle is to improve and maintain habitat on the Mitigation lands for the benefit of the wildlife resources and the Tribal Membership.  The focus will be to maintain and/or improve fences for wildlife movement while keeping domestic livestock off the properties.  A major focus will be to increase the amount of acres that are treated for invasive vegetation control and to cleanup abandoned agricultural lands for future restoration activities.  To achieve this the fence crews will provide additional assistance with mechanical and cultural weed control activities throughout the field season.  Additionally, restoration of habitat impacted by wildfires will be a focus of this year's activities.
